News – September 2010

The sound of the vuvuzela’s is finally silenced and the hype and excitement of the World Cup is over. For many businesses now is the time to prepare for the busy year-end period and to implement the growth plans and capex projects.

We have placed our imported machine orders to ensure we have stock for the balance of the year and we will be ready to be of service for a wide range of vacuum packers, heat sealers, foot sealers, continuous band sealers, hand wrappers, tape dispensers and bag neck sealers.

We have recently installed 2 new automatic wrapping machines, both in fresh produce packers.

One – the A33 – is packing lettuce and cauliflower in high volume runs; the other machine is the ELIXA, doing a variety of random pack sizes.

Feedback from our customers has been excellent.

Our Cape-based technicians provide after sales service and do servicing of all our machines. Now is the time to arrange a service on those vacuum packers to reduce the chance of downtime ate a critical time in the season.

In Johannesburg and Pretoria we have excellent free lance technicians who can do the same. Call us or speak with your sales consultant.

Our staff have been involved in community projects and we arranged a party and soccer game for the kids at Camp Sonshine in Maitland Garden Village.

The new soccer balls were well received but quite a few Packit staff were a bit stiff after the game.

Packit Packaging Solutions is pleased to announce that in line with the exemption that we have received, we have made contingency plans for our operations to remain operational during the national shutdown announced by the government. If you are an essential service provider and require any assistance during the lockdown please contact us on our respective office numbers or alternatively call one of our representatives listed on our website. All key members of our team will have full access to emails during this period and our support services will continue as per normal.
